Модулът “Dune HD Smart HE” е предназначен предимно за употреба с Dune HD плейъри и по-специално базовите Dune HD Smart модели или с Dune HD Max. Този модул позволява да се разширят възможностите на Dune HD плейъри чрез монтиране на 3,5-инчов SATA твърд диск с hot-swap поддръжка. Освен това, връзката с плейъра може да се извършва чрез USB 2.0 или eSATA интерфейс.
Също така, Smart HE модулът може да се използва с компютър, като външна HDD кутия за USB или eSATA.
Когато е свързан към Dune плейър или компютър чрез USB 2.0 интерфейс (с помощта на USB Slave конектор на задния панел на модула) Smart HE служи и като USB хъб: двата USB 2.0 конектора на модула могат да се използват за свързване на допълнителни външни устройства.
Заедно с модула се доставят 12V 3A захранващ адаптер, USB 2.0 кабел (Host-Slave), eSATA-eSATA кабел, както и кратки указания за употреба.
Забележка: Модулът Dune HD Smart HE не е оборудван с активно охлаждане (например вентилатор), тъй като е предназначен на първо място за използване в безшумни инсталации в системи за домашно кино. За да се предотврати прегряване на устройствата, ние силно препоръчваме да се използват HDD модели с ниско излъчване на топлина, по-специално, модели, предназначени за използване в сателитни приемници (например Green, EcoGreen HDD модели или други подобни).

Also, if desired, the Smart HE module may be used with a PC as a USB or eSATA HDD box.
Being connected to a Dune player or a PC via USB 2.0 interface (using the USB Slave connector on the rear panel of the extension module) the module also serves as a USB hub: two USB Host 2.0 connectors of the module may be used to connect additional external devices which are therefore made available to the Dune player or the PC.
Please pay attention to the fact that when the module is connected to a player or a PC using the eSATA interface, both USB Host 2.0 connectors of the module are inactive and may not be used!
Bundled with the HD Smart HE extension module there comes the 12V 3A power adaptor, USB 2.0 cable (Host-Slave), eSATA-eSATA cable, and the brief user guide.
Also please note that the product is not equipped with any means of active cooling (e.g. fans), because is intended firstly for using in noiseless installations in the scope of a home cinema system. Thus, to prevent overheating of devices, we strongly recommend to use together with this module only HDD models with low heat production, in particular, models intended for usage in satellite receivers (e.g. Green, EcoGreen HDD models and the like).
